World Leprosy Sunday

World Leprosy Sunday is marked every year.

It is an opportunity to remember those affected by it, raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of the disease, and tackle the stigma that too often surrounds leprosy. It is also an opportunity to raise money so that we can be the generation that ends leprosy transmission.

Please watch the video below and consider marking World Leprosy Sunday in your own church or youth group. There are resources below to help you.

Let the little children come to me

The files below tell the true story of a young Indian girl with leprosy called Nisha. Used together aspects of her life are related to passages from the Bible and Jesus’ compassion for those who are rejected in society. Prayer, hymns and Bible readings are suggested.
Practical egs indicate what donations can do to help those with leprosy.
